David Cusimano is a Managing Director at Accel-KKR.
David first joined the firm during the summer of 2008 while attending Harvard Business School, and returned on a fulltime basis upon graduating in 2009. Prior to joining Accel-KKR, David was a Private Equity Associate at GenSpring Family Office. There he was responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring minority equity investments and subordinated debt financings to growth-oriented, small and middle market companies in a wide variety of industries, as well as, allocating capital commitments to private equity funds. Prior to GenSpring, David was an Analyst at Wachovia Securities, where he provided merger and acquisition, capital raising and advisory services for corporate clients and financial sponsors focused on the technology and technology-enabled services sectors.
David is currently a Director of Cendyn, ESO, Ocuco and PropLogix. He is also involved with AKKR’s investment in Drips and Safeguard Global.
Previously, David was a Director of Cielo (sold to Permira in 2019), Delta Data (sold to Terminus Capital Partners in 2021), Ektron, N-able Technologies (sold to SolarWinds for $120 million in 2013), OnCenter Software (sold to Roper Industries in 2015), Patientco (sold to Waystar in 2021), PrismHR (sold to Summit Partners in 2017), Safeguard Global and Travel Tripper (merged with Cendyn).
David has also been involved in the firm’s investments in Infinisource, PageUp People (sold to Battery Ventures in 2017), Layered Technologies, RiseSmart (sold to Randstad Holding nv in 2015), The Endurance International Group (sold to a private equity consortium in 2011 for $1.0 billion), IntrinsiQ Research (sold to AmerisourceBergen in 2011) and Vyne (sold to The Jordan Company).
David received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his B.S. in Banking and Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama, where he was awarded the Austin Cup for the top graduating senior in the School of Commerce and Business Administration.
